big news :)

so i know that months ago i said i was going to do better about posting and i have yet to do that.  life's just busy!  after working all day, i come home, straighten up the house-doing the minimal amount of chores possible-and then get supper ready.  by the time all that's done, i have no energy to do anything but throw myself into bed.  but a lot has happened since i last blogged....  so here we go with another catch up.

money honey!
i got a job!!!!!!!!! yay yay yay! about a week before my birthday, which was february 25th, i went for an interview at a place here in charleston called the diabetic shoppe (the company provides diabetic testing supplies to mississippi, alabama, tennessee, louisiana, arkansas, and texas).  the interview went great and i started the job the monday of my birthday week.  i'm a patient service representative, which means i speak with numerous patients a day trying to assist them with what they need to manage their diabetes.  i really enjoy my job and the people with whom i work.  and i couldn't have been any more lucky to get a job here in charleston, especially at this time.

ohhh baby!
we're expecting :) and we couldn't be happier!!!!  before we got married, we always figured we would want to wait a few years to start a family.  then something just happened, and one day we were talking about it and decided to start trying.  as of today, i'm 15 weeks and 2 days.... due october 13th (and no, that isn't a friday :).  we had our first ultrasound at our last appointment when i was 13 weeks; here are just a couple pics....

legs stretched out!

we won't find out the baby's sex for about another month :(  our next appointment is may 6th, but an ultrasound wasn't scheduled.  at least when we do find out, i'll be anywhere from 20 to 23 weeks so we'll know for sure!!  we can't wait to find out!  but all we really want is healthy baby... that's all i can pray for!

ok well that's enough news for one blog :)  i really am going to try to do better about blogging.... it's just that after talking with patients all day long and staring at a computer all day long, the last thing i want to do is get on the computer again!  maybe i can set aside "blog time" on the weekends!
